Sept 1 – October 1 …………………….. STIMS Online or paper “Release of Liability” waiver forms received for all team members and all coaches/mentors
Sept 1 – October 1 ………………………. Qualifier Registration fee and regional program fee paid and Online Team Information form completed
Sept 1 – October 1 ………………………. Team volunteer identified and screened
October ~8th (possibly later) …….. (Expected) tournament registration for “Round 1” will open for NorCal teams

Nov 15, 16, 22, 23 (& possibly Nov 8, 9)……… Nor Cal First Level Tournament (QT = Qualifying Tournaments) – all registered NorCal teams may attend exactly one.

FLL Robotics kit or any Mindstorms kit (1st year only) ………….… $499 (plus ~$55 in tax/shipping) – any version of Mindstorms is allowed

The team will need access to a laptop/computer to program their robot (and will want to bring to the tournament) and many teams create a team t-shirt. Sometimes, snacks, project presentation materials and similar expenses are also shared among team members.
We typically have some need-based grant money for teams – it is targeted to under-served communities with true financial need.
