When we start accepting items, the first 4 items need to be done first, earlier is better. These items are the most important as they will be in the tournament program  and the program goes out to print earlier than the other items.        2010  FINAL DRAFT TEAM PAGES (PDF) Tournament Program 


Items 1-10 are required items with the first 4 needed as soon as possible.   Items 11-13 are optional items.

 

 

 

Here are the items to E-MAIL   – Please include your team number in all correspondence. 

  • Item 1. Email team photo (in PNG, GIF or JPG)
  • Item 2. Email robot picture (in PNG, GIF or JPG)
  • Item 3. Confirm if the entire team  (as in all team members individually)  is in their first year of FLL (Rookie year)
  • Item 4. Email as text,  ~50 words (or less) a team overview including items such as any team sponsors,  your robot’s name (if there is one) and the team’s project title or transportation issue – this information will be published in the tournament program.   If you list team member names, please do not include full names of team members – first name only is fine. 

 

 Note – if you send Powerpoint, Word or other Microsoft Office files, prefer if you send 2003 version of files (I don’t like 2007 versions)

 

Items 5-8, 11 and 12 are E-MAIL – Please include your team number in all correspondence. 

  • Item 5. Email a one page 8.5″x11″ team slide (preferred MS powerpoint, PDF also accepted).   Please do not add a background to the slide but instead if you want a background, add it as a image – the background will get removed when I consolidate the entire slide into one deck. Do not add any slideshow animations or effects. Please do not list full names of team members – first name only is fine.  2009 version.
  • Item 6. Email soft copy of Team Profile.
  • Item 7. Email as inline text (or if you must, a MS Word doc), a project title and a short project abstract explaining the specific challenge issue that your team picked for their project – this should be very short (like a sentence or two, max). These will be handed to the project judges and also available for in the project kiosk areas.
  • Item 8. Email an Emcee team intro as text. This would be 1 to 3 fun items about the team as well as any sponsors – please include a note if the team is a rookie team or if not, how many years that the team members have participated in FLL. This information that will be given to the emcee and team announcer
  • Item 9:   High Quality Video of the team’s project presentation.      This should be Physical mailed via postal mail (or uploaded via Vimeo or similar online video sharing service or uploaded on your site that we can download – do not use YouTube as we are not able to download), a MPEG file of a “good” recording of the team’s project presentation  – you are responsible for the sound and video quality.      Please do not send us a DVD formatted video – we need this in a file format  (like avi or mp4 or similar) – you can burn the file on a DVD physical media or CD media.

  • Item 10. Identify an adult volunteer (not the coach) from your team that is available for at least 4 hours of the tournament day and have them sign up for a role via the   General/Team Volunteer self-assign link will be available soon.
  • Item 11 : invite up to 3 VIPs to 1:30-2:30 pm dessert reception in library-  please let us know who is coming!   VIPs include school board members, school adminstrators, teachers, elected officials and media.
  • Item 12 :  Submit nominations for the Playing At Learning FLL Outreach, Outstanding Coach/Mentor and Outstanding FLL Volunteer Awards.
